LR Iberia - Instituto Maria da Paz Varzim

LR Iberia is supporting since the end of 2009 the „Maria da Paz Varzim” Institute. This institution of social solidarity has as top priority the protection and support of young children and teenagers at risk with social and community integration problems.

Created in 1989, the „Maria da Paz Varzim” Institute has a Kindergarten for children from 3 to 5 years old, and the “ATL” (free time activities) for children and teenagers from 6 to 17 years old.

The institute has a collect centre where they receive given goods like clothes, shoes, toys, etc., and works in voluntary regime.

Also voluntary are the professionals that cooperate in different complementary activities like Music, English, Sports and more recently Dance.
Many teachers from different disciplines help children and teenagers from the „ATL” in their school works, especially those who have learning difficulties.
